The full new State Pension is £221.20 per week (£11,502.40 per year) from April 2025, following the triple lock increase. You need 35 qualifying years of National Insurance contributions or credits for the full amount, and a minimum of 10 qualifying years to receive anything. State Pension age is currently 66 for both men and women.
The State Pension rose by 4.1% in April 2025, matching earnings growth — the highest of the three triple lock measures (earnings, CPI inflation, or 2.5%). The full new State Pension increased from £221.20/week. The triple lock is government policy until at least 2029.
